How do queer people live in Europe and how do they experience everyday life as part of the LGBTIQ+ community? *Event in English! Englischsprachige Veranstaltung!*
We want to take a closer look at these questions and invited three panelists from Belgium, Poland and Estonia to take part at an online discussion on the 21st of June at 5:30 pm.
The main topics in our discussion will be everyday life and discrimination, access to healthcare for queer people and trans rights in the different European member states. The discussion should give the audience enough space to ask their questions on these and other topics. We would like to initiate an exchange and share insights from all over Europe!
Everybody should feel free to express themselves in a safe environment. Besides the option to take part at the event as an online audience via Zoom, you can also attend the event in the EuropaPunktBremen together with us. Afterwards, we will provide drinks and snacks and finish the evening in a cozy atmosphere.
Jermaine Greene will lead us through the discussion. He has been working for the SV Werder Bremen for 13 years and currently works in the areas of fan support and anti-discrimination. He has recently become the press spokesman for the CSD/Pride march in Bremen as well.
Our three panelists are all part of the queer community:
- Valentina from Belgium.
- Arek (Arkadiusz) from Poland who lives in Danzig and works on the board of Tolerado (Danzig) and Queer Sight (Bremen).
- Eeva from Estonia works for a LGBTIQ+ organisation in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
